The people behind the flavors
Leron
Leron grew up 24 years in India in an observant kosher family. Cooking wasn't a hobby — it was daily life, the morning aromas, spices measured by feeling, recipes passed down from generation to generation. When she left India for Israel, she brought all of it with her.
Today, a PhD in Microbiology, she cooks with the same precision as in the lab — but with much more flavor. Every dish she prepares is authentic, because it comes from a real kosher Indian kitchen, not a restaurant adapted for tourists.
Binyamin
Binyamin grew up 22 years in France, passionate about French gastronomy and technology. He's the one who had the idea to share Leron's cooking with the world, and manages everything that happens outside the kitchen — the website, social media, logistics. A front-end dev who became the manager of an Indian chef.
Our Story
Kosher India was born from a simple question: why is there so little authentic kosher Indian food in Israel? Thousands of Israelis travel to India every year. They come back with memories of flavors. And then... they never find those tastes here.
Leron started cooking for friends. Friends told their friends. And that's how Kosher India was born — quietly, naturally, around a steaming plate of dal and a naan fresh from the fire.
Mehadrin Kashrut & Shabbat
Both Leron and Binyamin have been Shomer Shabbat and Shomer Kashrut since forever. For our meat, it is chalak, and poultry is mehadrin (such as Machfud kashrut). For us, kashrut is not just a certification — it's a way of life. And through it, we love sharing the discovery of authentic Indian food in all its richness and depth.
